Awning Stripe Silk/Poly Shantung - Blue/Cream

A deadstock silk/poly shantung in a blue and cream colourway. This narrow, lightweight fabric has been woven in a plain weave with a poly warp and silk weft creating a crisp, lustrous fabric with naturally occurring lines and slubs throughout. The yarn-dyed stripe is made up of a thick blue stripe alternating narrower and wider double stripe on a cream base. A non-stretch, papery fabric with a stiff structure making ideal for special occasion pieces, loose-fitting pajama sets like the Sparrow and as a luxury lining for coats like the Poppy.
